What is Art Therapy?
Guided by a licensed professional, art therapy is a powerful means of expression and healing through engagement of the mind, body, and spirit. The goal of art therapy is to use the process of creation to analyze and process emotions to understand oneself clearly. This is a tool to help you interpret, express, and resolve your emotions and thoughts.

Art therapy supports individuals experiencing mental health challenges, substance use issues, and personal challenges such as stress, anxiety, or grief, by promoting self-awareness, insight, emotional expression and regulation, self-esteem and healthy coping.

*You do not need to be artistic to participate in sessions.

What types of Art therapy sessions are offered?
What to expect during a session?
During a session, individuals are invited to a safe space for an hour of "me time". Here we will create, talk, write, and utilize the space for what you need in this time. The goal is to focus on the physical person in the here and now. There is no right or wrong, there are only different approaches to creative processes that we are exploring to help you be the best version of yourself. Things can be completed, continuous, through out, or spontaneous.

No "art" skills are necessary, just an open mind.
